Hotel Kandahar

The hotel is like a large chalet built in the typical style of Haute Tarentaise with stone walls, wooden beams, and slate tiles on the outside. Inside it offers the warmth of wood panelling, polished parquet, fine furnishings, soft fabrics and a fireplace. On the walls, a picture collection recalls the history of Val d'Isère and the skiing.

The restaurant in the basement of the hotel, called the Tavern D’Alsace is open to non residents and it is one place we frequent throughout the season. It has a good menu along with a great atmosphere, two reasons why we like it.
