As of 11 pm Friday 17th December 2021 France are tightening entry restrictions as follows:
- France are banning entry to all non-essential travellers from Britain due to the surge in omicron cases
- you must have an essential reason to travel to or come from the UK, both for unvaccinated and vaccinated
- to quote the French government spokesman, Gabriel Attal 'people cannot travel for touristic or professional reasons'
- those with an essential reason to enter the country must self isolate for 7 days and have proof of a negative antigen or PCR taken less than 24 hrs prior to arrival

We advise any clients due to arrive to call the office on 0203 393 0812 or sales@mrooms.co.uk to see if it is feasible for you to arrive on Friday night prior to the ban being in place. You will be eligible for a refund or deferral if you cannot scramble and travel pre. the deadline.
Monday 27th December arrivals

Moving forward
We have no idea how long this ban will be in place so we will manage this situation week by week. We realise this will affect Christmas & New Year bookings but we cannot be sure for the 3rd Jan arrivals and beyond.
On behalf of Mountain Rooms & Chalets, we are so sorry to everyone affected by this. It is a bitter blow to those who have so patiently waited to finally hit the slopes in beautiful Val d'Isere. Covid-19 and the omicron variant will one day cease to scupper plans and you will all be back skiing.
