In summary; Val d'Isere will be open as a village but the ski lifts will not operate, which is a decision that has been taken by the French government. We await an official opening date of resort but we expect this to be around the 20th Jan, although the 7th has been muted by authorities. We await the final statement from Val d'Isere.
Meanwhile, anyone who chooses to visit resort will get a discounted rate on the normal prices for our properties as the skiing will not be open. You will be permitted to walk in the mountains, skate ski, XC ski and under your own steam and at your own risk, ski tour to enable you to go up the mountain and ski down.
Resort is offering a number of activities include skidooing for children at 25€ for 10 minutes. The town will be decorated as usual and whilst bars & restaurants will be closed, take away service are available.
